To keep the network running smoothly for everyone, a carrier may temporarily reduce speed after a certain amount of data. This plan rule is called FUP, not an eSIM fault. Some plans have no such threshold. If the allowance is daily, speed returns when it resets. Your plan’s technical details explain its terms.
Check eSIM support for your exact model and regional version. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked. The EID check below helps, but does not guarantee compatibility by itself.
Compatible phones may use your regular SIM for calls and the eSIM for mobile data. Simultaneous lines depend on your device. Check your home carrier settings to avoid roaming charges on your regular SIM.
Do not assume they are included. Check the package description: many travel eSIMs are data-only. Messaging apps can use an internet connection.

Select the purchased eSIM for mobile data and enable data roaming for that eSIM. Steps vary on iPhone, Samsung and other Android phones. Do not enable roaming on your regular SIM without checking its charges.

Keep the installed profile until your trip ends: reinstallation may not be available. QR and installation codes are private; sharing a code does not guarantee transfer of an already installed eSIM.
